Meghan Davies serves as Whitman-Walker Health’s Chief Operating Officer, where she oversees a wide portfolio including Whitman-Walker Health’s grants, patient legal services, insurance navigation and patient billing, community health and wellness, care navigation, clinical infrastructure, IT, and facilities. She has previously served as Whitman-Walker Health’s Chief Program Officer and Director of Community Health.
Before joining Whitman-Walker in 2008, Meghan was an HIV prevention volunteer with the Peace Corps in Honduras where she focused on HIV and gender. While there, she led a nine-person team responsible for training 200 volunteers on HIV prevention and designing and launching Viviendo Positivamente (Living Positively) to encourage the formation of support groups for HIV-positive people in the region.
Meghan earned her Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in global health promotion from the George Washington University and her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Virginia. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and Certified in Public Health (CPH). Meghan lives with her partner, two children and dog in DC.
