Dental Exam
Whitman-Walker offers a full range of dental services, including both preventative and restorative oral care. A general dental exam helps you understand your overall dental health and hygiene.
Teeth Cleaning
Oral health affects overall health, so regular teeth cleanings are recommended two times a year. A teeth cleaning, or dental prophylaxis, is a procedure to thoroughly clean your teeth and prevent gum disease and gingivitis. Teeth cleanings are usually performed by dental hygienists and include the removal of plaque and bacteria. Regular teeth cleanings can help you avoid gum disease, gingivitis, and additional visits to the dentist.
Mouth Guard
A mouth guard, or occlusal guard, is a removable device used to help prevent the wearing down of teeth during sleep due to grinding and clenching. Mouth guards help support the long-term health of your teeth.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics is an area of dental care focused on the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of wrongly positioned or crooked teeth. Orthodontics can be a great option for straightening your teeth. This can include the use of braces, retainers, spacers and more. Whitman-Walker’s dental services offer Invisalign to better position teeth. Invisalign is not covered under dental insurance plans at Whitman-Walker.
Prosthodontics
Prosthodontics is an area of dental care focused on restoring and replacing missing teeth to give you the perfect smile! Whitman-Walker offers prosthodontics services by providing crowns and denture services.
Restorative Treatment
Whitman-Walker offers restorative treatment as part of our dental care services. Restorative Treatment includes cleaning and removing tooth decay as well as applying crowns and fillings to teeth to protect your smile.
Root Canal
Whitman-Walker offers root canal services to help relieve tooth pain and save your tooth from needing to be removed. Root canals are performed on infected teeth and help clean the infection to prevent more bacteria from entering the tooth. Root canals are usually one-hour procedures that leave your tooth feeling painless!
Scaling & Root Planing
Scaling and root planing services include a deep cleaning of plaque and bacteria from below the gum line to treat gum disease, also known as periodontal disease. Scaling and root planing help keep your gum healthy! If gum disease is left untreated, it can lead to bone and tooth loss.
Tooth Extraction
Whitman-Walker offers tooth extraction, or removal, services. Tooth extraction is a type of restorative treatment and can include cleaning and removing tooth decay, and applying crowns and fillings to teeth to protect your smile.
Teeth Whitening
Whitman-Walker offers teeth whitening to brighten and lighten the shade and color of your teeth. Teeth whitening is ideal for people who have healthy gums and teeth without fillings. This service is usually not covered under dental insurance plans.
