Dr. Sarah Henn has been a physician at Whitman-Walker Health since 2007 and currently serves as their Chief Health Officer. She maintains active board certifications in both infectious diseases and internal medicine.

Dr. Henn came to Whitman-Walker because she believes in the mission of providing quality, culturally competent care to all, especially to those who face barriers to care. She has a special expertise in LGBTQ+ and HIV care. In her role, she oversees all care delivery services at Whitman-Walker Health and is the leader of the Whitman-Walker Institutes’ ACTG Clinical Research Site (CRS). This work has led to publications in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Lancet HIV, and Clinical Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Henn received a bachelor’s degree in political studies from Hamilton College and a medical degree from the University of Virginia. She interned at Emory University, did her residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia, and completed an infectious disease fellowship at the University of Maryland.
