Under Trump, transgender people in the D.C. region fear losing access to healthcare

This morning, Washington DC’s local NPR station – WAMU 88.5 – featured a very important story about #transgender #healthcare in the wake of a new administration, as a part of its weekly Health series. Whitman-Walker would like to give a big thanks to reporter Sarah Y. Kim for her intelligent and thoughtful reporting, and we commend britt walsh, LICSW, LCSW-C, LCSW, CPH, our Director of Gender-Affirming Care, for their strong commentary about the needs of the transgender community, while also encouraging our patients to not feed panic with panic.

We encourage you all to take the time to listen to this nearly 4-minute piece: https://wamu.org/story/24/12/11/trump-transgender-people-healthcare-access/
